Well, looks like Joran is likely going to be on the Prison Date Night circuit for a long while. Someone’s going to make a whole lot of cigarettes as the weekend approach.
Makes you wonder how many other women ran into this guy for the last time in their lives...
I wonder if the jail he’s going to go to is an notorious as Mexican jails?
There have been some fairly lurid descriptions of Peruvian jails. He won’t have much fun.

Whether he is the foreign wing of this prison, or in another of Peru's notorious prisons, I suspect that he'll be segregated and under guard, to protect his life.
Peru understands that it's in the international spotlight and will remain so, in regards to Joran.
I hate that he was able to kill again but isn’t it ironic that Karma has completely turned the tables on him? This time it is the girls who’s family has power and there is no way he is going to get out of this one.

Maybe he told her that he had more money to bet with “back at his room” or for any other hundred reasons. He could have told her they were just going to the room for a few minutes. I think he “lured” her there.

That makes sense since they both were gambling. I had expected him to “help” a wobbly woman, but this was not the case here.
One interesting hypothesis I read elsewhere was that Joran enticed her back to his room at the hostel to teach her how to play online poker.
