Flashfoward's ratings fell because although the premise of the show was fascinating, the acting and scripts sucked.

I so wanted to watch the show, but every week I found myself waiting for the end. I could have loved the show, but it was too badly scripted.

Bingo. Too much “up close and personal” character development and not enough plot. That is a common problem with many TV dramas and Sci-Fi shows.

They even do it with the Olympics.
