COLUMBIA, S.C.-- A South Carolina lawmaker on Thursday called a Republican gubernatorial candidate of Indian descent a "raghead," saying we have one in the White House, we don't need one in the governor's mansion.
Republican state Sen. Jake Knotts later apologized for the slur, saying the remarks about President Barack Obama and state Rep. Nikki Haley were meant as a joke.
They came on Internet political talk show, Pub Politics. Co-host Phil Bailey said Knotts said,

“In other words, you really have nothing to say about the comment other than a string of ad hominems.”
1. Please quote the “string of ad hominems” and let me know to whom you think they were directed.
2. I have not only not had “nothing to say”, but have in fact said it in the posts shown above. You may not like my posted statements or you may take issue with them. That’s fine. But I believe you will be unable to ignore the point I was making.
And to try to make my point clear to even the meanest intelligence: I am much more fed up with (i) the contrived outrage of those who claim to be offended by every non-PC statement some public figure makes (for example, George Allen and “macaca”) than I am of (ii) the non-PC statement itself.
I don’t know about his position on guns, but Jake Knotts is certainly not conservative re: limited government or taxes. That is why he hates conservatives like Nikki Haley and Sarah Palin.
So was the "raghead" line.
