Thanks for the tip.

FWIW, I’ve had good dealings with Jung Seed (Diana’s company) and Park Seed this year. Also Smart Pots. Even the Arbor Day Foundation sent nicely packaged LIVE trees that are all growing beautifully. I’d just about given up on ADF because the trees took so long to arrive. But, one day they just showed up — 22 trees in a plastic sleeve like a throw-away newsflier. I pulled them in from the mailbox late at night. I almost dropped them into the garbage with the rest of the junk mail. LOL.

Jung Seeds remains very good. I ordered two grapes - the Edelwiess took off like a rocket. The Concord was fine initially, but then appeared deader than a doornail. After 5 weeks I called Jung’s. No hesitation they gave me a credit for it, as they had no more Concord grapes left.

A bit later I got a letter confirming the credit for the dead grape.

So then me, being a bit of a procrastinator-had not gotten around to taking out the dead grape. When I did look again, it had done its thing and had good healthy leaves growing.

Which brings me to another point. I often tell people just leave “it” alone, whatever “it” is. So many times, given time- something will take its own sweet time- and then what you can not see underground, all of a sudden bursts forth above ground and viola- the “dead” is no longer dead.

And yes I wrote a note to Jung to tell them to remove my credit.

My daughter ordered strawberries from Jung- they died. She decided she had planted them too deeply-and she did not ask for a refund. she figured she had learned something about gardening in the process.
