‘breeder of the cutest pugs you’ve ever laid eyes on.”

Pugs are a brachycephalic nightmare that spend their lives suffering and suffocating soley for the purpose of “looking cute”.

Pugs have many health problems inherited through the generations.

These afflictions include cleft lip and palate, canine intersexuality, patella luxation, canine hip dysplasia, legg-perthes, pug dog encephalitis, progressive retinal atrophy, trichiasis, entropion, elongated palate, and collapsed trachea.

Entropion is related to the ideal diamond-shaped eye and eyelid of the Pug, as well as the looseness of the skin around the face which cause irritation of the eye and can cause serious damage if left untreated.

The traits which are idealized in the American Standard for Pugs-large dark eyes and skin with deep and large wrinkles, which foster fungal and bacterial infections, are in fact health complications to the living animal.

Both characteristics contribute to eye inflammation and can develop into serious afflictions if not treated.

Do you *really* want to get into debate over which dogs should or should not be "allowed to exist"?

Every Pug suffers for the vanity of some human.

[except for the standard-rejected "bad" specimens which actually have enough muzzle to breathe halfway efficiently]

My pugs are perfectly healthy and visit their veterinarian regularly. AND...they have never and will never kill a child.
