It was only three weeks ago that the Los Angeles Times reported that Al and Tipper Gore had bought new digs. The couple purchased an $8.8 million ocean-view villa in the gated community of Montecito, California. The 6,500-square-foot villa tucked on one-and-a-half acres of grounds includes a swimming pool, a spa, fountains, five bedrooms and nine baths.
That can now be added to the lists of things the Gores have to split if they officially call it quits.
The couple told friends Tuesday they planned to separate after 40 years of marriage. This comes after the Gores' kids -- Karenna, Kristin, Sarah and Albert III -- have left the nest and the couple has amassed massive wealth since Al Gore left public office in 2000. The most recent figure predicted in 2007 by Fast Company was more than $100 million. Before the 2000 election they predicted the family's net worth was closer to $1 million.

Tipper’s getting out now while there’s still something to split. Once Algore gets sued for climate fraud that 100M could slip into lawyers pockets and offshore bank accounts pretty quickly.

interesting point but each walk away with never having to worry about money again;why stay together? there’s no point-the money has created a new and separate life for each of them. 1mil wasn’t cutting it-1mil or 2 isn’t shite these days. in comparison -the obamsters are veritable paupers compared to the Gores’wealth.

If the divorce were a . . . limb from limb divorce . . . a la drawn and quartering . . . it would be more just deserts given their treason . . . however,
I’m thankfully God’s grace has spared me what I deserved.
I’m willing to extend grace to other gross sinner.
I just want them out of public life . . . I’d prefer they confess and repent . . . at least learn of their gross errors and sins . . . not likely, it seems.

I can’t stand anything about Al Gore. I don’t really know much about Mrs. Gore except that she gets credit in my book for staying with a guy like that. These two have a forty plus year history together, they have four kids, and they pledged in front of family and God that they would stay together until death. I have not heard of any unrepentent unfaithfulness, violence, or abandonment. The rules are the same as always. Whichever of the two is pulling the plug needs to get right with God and change course. This marriage can and should be saved. It is NOT God’s will that this union be torn asunder.
