A man was found shot in the head and back this morning on Chicago's Far South Side, one of five shootings across the city overnight, police said.
He was found lying on the ground at about 3:21 a.m. in the 200 block of East 115th Street in the West Pullman neighborhood, said Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines, and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
There was no immediate information available about the victim's age or the circumstances of the shooting.
In other violence:
• Shortly before 2 a.m., another man was found with a gunshot wound to his leg on the 3600 block of West Lexington Street in the Homan Square neighborhood on the West Side, Gaines said. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was treated and released.
• At about midnight, an 18-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 12000 block of South Perry Avenue on Chicago's Far South Side, Gaines said. He was taken to Christ and is now described as in "stable" condition, he said.

I was thinking the same thing. The people live in a world they created. I don’t know what it is going to take for them to wake up and realize it does not have to be this way.
If only Chicago had stronger gun control, maybe a community organizer can provide some hope and change.

Anyone who wants out can leave with what they can carry, and people who have FR accounts, (that should free the police), on foot, except city and county employees, and shoot down any outbound aircraft, so Daley and his wise guys can't escape and they can go up in smoke when the Loop burns. Wait until the smoke clears. Bulldoze the ruins. Videotape everything and send it to Philly, LA, San Francisco on C-Span, as an object lesson.

Yep. But worse Daley won't give the Snake Handlers (Cops) any equipment that GD works to stop the snakes.
Patrol Cars that won't start, Broken Mars Lights, broken Computers in squads, broken radios, BALD TIRES on squads, No 'Paddy Wagons', No Cage Cars, No leg shackles, no restraints, etc, etc. And electrical problems in squads by the hundreds as gages jsut don't work) .Hell a lot of the time the cops have to use their own Jumper Cables so they can get on patrol after roll call.
Yet Daley blows $10 Million (iirc) chasing the Olympics he never had a chance of getting, all so his cronies could get fat city contracts.
But wosrt of all Daley despises his own PD and MOCKS them in public, what utter scum. (But the feeling is returned in Spades -- squared.)
Oh and FWIW, Chicago Cops have to change any flat tires on their squad. That is IF they have a spare. (how's that for degrading, a Uniformed Cop getting all sweaty and greasy changing a flat. Gee, where do I sign up? )
Add to the list of things that DON'T Work in the Sqaad Cars is .... the In Car Cameras. I almost forgot that but another Cop just radioed in that his is broken (too).
And those Cameras are there to protect both the Cop and the Citizen. I'm sure Daley will have his peeps jump on that asap. /s
Why would the Chicago police shoot that many people in one weekend.?
After all, since the City of Chicago effectively BANS the private ownership of firearms, it HAD to have been the police doing all the shooting, right? Right?
Austin PD is finally getting the digital cameras for the LEOs in East Austin where all the crime is, so they turn on automatically.
But we did get a nifty flyover from the airforce on their way to intercept someone who violated “The One’s” airspace. Sounds like the CPD could have used some Marine CAS instead of the airforce’s F-15.
