Lamh Foistenach Abu! We can't turn on the television, without hearing and seeing this country being demolished. It's like a horrible nightmare, that has no ending. We can't 'wake up' from it.
If I want to watch the news, I click on the television. If I don't like what I am seeing, I use my remote control. When I open up FReeRepublic, I have a miriad of articles to chose from. I can click any one of them. If I need a smile or a hug, and look at the many articles available, it is my choice, whether or not to click them open. Sometimes, my 'happiness-button' needs pushed, and I don't click on anything but Amy's Place!
When I came across a link saying Amy's Place would be opening soon, I thought to myself, "YES! That is what I need, when I turn on my computer. A warm, friendly place with graphics, music, poetry, stories, poems, and heartfelt 'down-home' friendliness."
That is what Amy's has been for me, for a long time. I love the 'escape' - even for just awhile each day.
