That might be read as two efforts (one in June and July), but it is deliberately ambiguous. There may have been two, there may have been twenty two. That isnt made clearon purpose. They want you to think only two, but there were probably more than that.
Yeah, but the Sestak account is the specifics of ONE conversation - a little "explaining" here would unravel some inconsistencies PDQ.
But the main game here is for it to just go away. Then they risk a Repub congress investigation or a friendly now investigation. Time to pull out everything we can to keep this issue alive!

but the Sestak account is the specifics of ONE conversationRight. And a 30-60 second passing mention that he hardly recalls and almost laughs off. The WH memo clearly says "efforts" in June and July whereas Sestak maintains only one brief mention in a longer phone call with Clinton.
Sestak best be very careful or he'll be drawn into a peeing contest that he cannot win against the WH Chicago operatives. His best bet for survival is to come clean - really clean - with everything that happened. But maybe he can't do that without implicating himself in wrongdoing, e.g. what if it was he who mentioned that there's no way he would get out of this race for anything less than Sec. of the Navy (as a joke, of course the line would be).
