The Baton Rouge I-10/I-110 merge westbound ain’t exactly child’s play...
Make that EASTBOUND off the bridge.
I recently sat in evening traffic crossing the Mississippi River at Baton Rouge, headed east. That damned bridge (specifically, the approach from the west bank) shakes and shudders to an alarming degree.
And then down-river, there's the Huey P. Long bridge, which feels solid enough but still scares the daylights out of many drivers. It's appropriate, though, as a warning of the dangers that lurk on the road to the south. Back in the '70s, there was a bumper sticker that was popular in the New Orleans area: "Pray for me; I drive on Hwy. 90".
