Turning to California, we noted last week that a poll, this one by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC), indicated Carly Fiorina had moved ahead of Tom Campbell, albeit the two candidates were both within the margin of error. Still, the poll was significant in that Campbell had consistently been narrowly ahead of Fiorina for weeks and this was the first poll to reverse that trend. We wondered at the time if the poll could have been an outlier. Late yesterday Survey USA released a poll which threw cold water on the idea that the PPIC poll was an outlier and lent strong support to Fiorina's surge in the polls...and then some:

Perfect is the enemy of good.
I suggest everyone do a little research on ole Carly “what makes you think you’re entitled to a job” Fiorina, the outsourcing queen who wrecked Lucent and Hewlit Packard. You think you’ve seen bad? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
from your keyboard to my eyes! I was beginning to wonder if anyone around here had any senses left!
Carly makes McCain look conservative.
Is she going to be the CEO of the Senate?
I not fan of Fiorina, in business or politics but, “what makes you think youre entitled to a job,” is a preferable to, “you are entitled to a job, and the goverment is going to give to you courtesy of the hard working taxpayers.” Hello SEIU...
Yes, because Obama needs another RINO to give him political cover.
In a way, I prefer Boxer.
Wrong. That was Carly’s response to techies who were thrown out of work by her outsourcing and insourcing American tech jobs. She devastated high tech.
Not all of us are globalists you know. Not all of us are unionists either.
No, just the destroyer.
Maybe you can organize those HP employees laid off by Fiorina and Hurd and get together with Barbara Boxer and those Greek patriots and have a massive riot demanding that jobs are a human right.
So she will destroy the Senate but Boxer won’t?
Boxer is a predictable Rat. Carly will be another McCain and sell us out on the issues that matter. Is this what we want and need at this perilous time in our nation’s history?
GO DEVORE!
I understand the push here for Mr. DeVore and understand those that want the most conservative candidate to win. But California has been a strong Democratic stronghold for some time now. Ronald Reagan would not be governor there nowadays, and pretending he would is deluding oneself. Half a loaf and all that. I think Carly is more conservative than Scott Brown in many ways and remember the party here when he won?
So if Fiorina wins the nomination, will you vote for her in the General?
You’re still at the kiddie table. Do you remember the rules for that?
? Does that mean I have no right to an opinion?
Is Tom Campbell better? Because Mr. DeVore is at 17% as I recall, which means he’s not really in the race currently.
With Senator Boxer, Mr. Obama gets a guaranteed vote for his agenda.
