After having done business there many times, I went in there once and didn't buy anything. The man said "Come back when you want to buy something" as I was leaving.
I go to the place up on Admiral or to one of the independent places in OKC now.
I was just kidding you. I am from Hulbert and just wanted to tease. I now live in CA, SFO Bay Area.
You made the right decision. I grew up around guns and pretty much know what I want, when I am ready to make a purchase. However, I am looking to them for guidance and when you are blowing hundreds and sometimes thousands, at their business, they should be able and willing to provide assistance or guidance.
I have run into a few places like that out here and found the A**holes who act like this are nothing more than order takers(That shit pisses me off, as a salesman) and they generally don’t know much.
In fact, I ran into two turds, in the same shop, who didn’t know their ass from a hole in the ground and here is what I discovered:
THEY EITHER DON’T OWN A GUN OR CAN’T AFFORD HIGH QUALITY TOOLS.
Eff-em! I complained to the owner who now takes a personal interest in my decisions. I told him I was referred by some very reputable people and dropped their names. His response is very illuminating every time I come in his store and I don’t talk the idiotic employees, except for simple ammo purchases.
You made the right decision to move on to a retailer who knows something about providing guidance.
There are two other shops I have been to and one indoor range where my experience has never been friendly or even useful.
I drive out my way to the other indoor range because they are not only helpful but many employees actually similar weapons and we share similar backgrounds.
So don’t go back to those chumps who are only looking to make a quick buck, while they mentally prepare themselves for 0PRAH.
Can you imagine going to the your local appliance store, looking for a washer/dryer, refrigerator, stove/oven, etc and they don’t provide any direction?
I would leave, as well.
Post on.
