The Atlantic Tropical Storm Season officially begins June 1. This week, there is a low pressure system in the Atlantic with a 30% chance of developing into a tropical system.

There is very little "fire" in the poinsetta trees and when there is very little our season has been harmless

I hate to sound like Chicken Little BUT - I was just down town and the poinsetta trees have exploded - there's not an inch of the trees not covered in vivid red flowers - bigger and brighter than '05

This should be a good/bad test of the old wives tale

Ut Oh ... The trees have burst on the first of June

The royal poincianas are giving us a particularly beautiful show but they say when they're this red we're in for a memorable hurracane season. They havent been like this since '05 ..... keep your fingers crossed

If it’s any consolation, my royal poinciana tree hasn’t a single flower. Then again, it’s only 3.5 years old.

I'm no expert but I don't think they flower for at least 4-5 years ... but boy they grow and they grow messy LOL
