I made some mistakes this year. This was my first time gardening from seed instead of buying tiny plants at the store, and I didn’t “harden” the plants (or allow 10 weeks for tomatoes)
It’s been a very learning experiance. Next year I will know to start seeds earlier, and to bring them in and out for a couple of hours each day to get them accostomed to the sun and wind.
My great-grandfather used to keep a huge garden during the Great Depression, and he not only fed his family, but anyone from the neighborhood who needed a bag of vegetables would always stop down. He never said no to anyone who came to him for help.
