what's a good pellet gun for this...also calibre...?

A simple Air pumped .177 works fine for me. Stock has 9 notches of April 21st.

You ought to hear those buggers sneer and scream at me when I go out in the yard.

Get a Gamo. I bought one at Bass Pro Shop for $129. Comes with an adequate scope. Has a rifled barrel, and it’s VERY accurate. .177 caliber pellets.
