The best way to disappear is to over pay your taxes so you have a big refund coming. The government will never find you. This works for public figures too.

Years ago when the collection agencies were hounding me (when i was a liberal)...
1) I disappeared in canada by paying with cellphone by cash.
2) My address was a mailbox. Just “switch” the Box number to “Suite” #. When the collection papers came in, I just told the mailbox clerks to send it back, “it’s not mine”.
3) Pay rent by cash. Lots of houses in Vancouver where they separated the house to turn them into apartments.
