I guess I'm not alone in that what he has written is NOT easy to forget! Oh but it's easy to cop out in fear before the message sinks in! At least that's what most "readers" do.
Just got back in. My neighbor's property is so screwed up; it's never been worse. It's been an amazing year for germination of everything, weeds included. It's a huge problem; it's a great opportunity.
All I can do is trust and keep going. I'm so behind I don't know how...
Baruch HaShem. Have a blessed Shabbat. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Sorry to hear about your neighbor's property... that's frustrating.
I'm looking at the pictures NOW and reading along! Thanks for the head's up on that. Yes...TRUST and just keep going buddy. There's nothing better to do anyway! :-)
Baruch HaShem indeed! ...amazing! Using the CJB has the advantage of occasionally permitting me the nicety of actually understanding a smattering of Hebrew!
Shalom Shabbat. :-)

“Turkey brigades to the rescue! They just love to eat grasshoppers.”
The chukars in Oregon will be happy too. I hope they get morbidly obese so they can't run up the hills and I can shoot them on the bottom of the canyon. Those birds are the devil.

The devil? Are they good eatin? Don't have them here in TX. Are they like big quail, mostly flightless?

They were introduced into the west from China or Mongolia. They like steep hilly canyons in arid places. Hunting them is torture. They run uphill. You follow them all the way to the top of the canyon and you are completely out of breath and covered in sweat. They slow down when you get tired and taunt you with their chuking chatter. The covey stays just out of shooting distance but close enough to give you hope. When you stop near the top of the canyon to catch your breath and wipe the sweat out of your eyes they flush and fly all the way to the bottom of the canyon untouched.
They do taste great and are much larger than quail (about the size of a large grouse). Their legs are tougher than ruffed grouse as they run hills all year long training for the next hunting season.
Like I said, they are the devil.

Plus they fly like a bat out of hell.

Sounds like fun! and all we have where I live is steep canyons, limestone hills, mega-arid.
1952, we could double our arrowhead hunting pleasure with these! Although we’d need silencers.

They would have to eat their way through 100,000 acres of Redwoods before they could find my garden...Was referring to the Biblical follow up of the plagues. ;)

Heh. I think of you every time I'm on my knees digging the weeds out of my lawn and garden.
I applied your wisdom about certain weeds having a herbicide effect on the soil to prevent competition.
Now, instead of using "weed and feed", I remove the weed - flowers, leaves, and as much of the root as possible. Welded up myself a tool to make getting at the roots easier.
Amazing what a difference that has made - and the little dead patches are finally disappearing.
I think Jefferson & Co. had the intent that with Logic and Reason in Free minds, unfettered with coercion - that certain collectivized defects in human nature would be eradicated as well. But unfortunately those roots seem to run deeper than he anticipated....
