The people who use the Pilgrims as examples of “illegil” immigration are, for lack of a better term, idiots. Nothing shocks me, though. Especially that no one today knows anything about early American history.
There was no national United States government back then. There wasn’t even a United States. The Pilgrims (who weren’t even the first to come here) and the other settlers were still under European jurisdiction. America was nothing more than English/French/Spanish territories. King’s rule and all that.
