LOL!!
Perfect.
Yes, you are right. I am just so frustrated at the whole process these days.
We are going through a local vote on whether or not to build a new high school. We can get a very low interest loan from the state for more than half the price.
Many of the people in town are saying, “We can finally get something back from the state—so we should take the money and raise our property taxes by $600 a year for the next twenty five years.”
I listen to these folks and ask them how the state can afford to do that—do they just print the money? Or does it come from somewhere? Like us?
My point is that our public has a greed mindset—where they feel entitled to their piece of the pie—even when they get mad at the “Wall Street” guys who buy and sell on a public market. We don’t need everything we see, or that we think we need.
If we voted that way, these guys would all be sent home.
You are right. And yes she should send him flowers. LOL
You really think the Tea Party vote was a factor in a Dem primary?
Say...a "club" collects dues from all the members.
Then....a small group of the members (not all, mind you....just a small group) decided they need a new club building in which to meet.
They ask the club Financial Officer for money, and they are told they can borrow the funds from the club at 50% less than a bank would charge.
However, in order to "pay off the loan", the entire membership will have its dues raised by 10% for the next X years.
Somehow, the small group of members think they've "saved money"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It truly does cause one to scratch one's head in wonder.
Oh, by the way: the club's budget is very deep in the red.
Who knows? He (Spector) seemed to think so...
Bush’s Fault.
“Now she has to live with him around the house 24/7. Maybe thats what she looks so upset about.”
Bingo!
Try this
0-6 years = 0%
7 - 13 years = 20% of beginning salary
14 - 19 years = 0% of beginning salary
20+ years = -20% of beginning salary
The pant load is clueless.
The only other way to do it is with a Constitutional Amendment....and I don't think that is likely either. Not because it isn't smart or sensible or "due", but because there are other far larger problems to tackle.
Didn’t Sun Tzu have something to say about traitors?
I agree, but maybe he can run as an “independent” and take votes away from the radical lefty.
Not to be morbund, but look at the fate of 2 viles, Murtha and Kennedy, they left via they only way they would have left because they would never retire or resign.
Other vile ones who's time serving is up and will get sent home? Reid, McCain, and Dingell. I need to think of others, but the long shot who I think is beatable is Bwaanny Fwank.
401a or a 401k with 100 matching (yes it is in the original legislation and is usually done with doctors on staff at major hospitals).
And 5 year vesting like the rest of us...
I am sorry Spector lost the Primary. It would have been far better to see him go to the general and get crushed by Toomey. One bright spot is that Obama hung him out to dry. If Spector has any sense of wanting to leave on a good note he ought to pay Obama back by grilling the hell out of Kagan and voting against her for the Supreme Court. Spector voted no on her confirmation for Solicitor General. He made some candy-ass illogical statement a week ago about how being nominated for the Supreme Court is different from Solicitor General so he’s “Open-Minded” about her nomination. Good chance for him to pay zero back by exposing her awful record and voting against her again. He could save some face as he knows the public doesn’t want her.
For all his scoundrel behavior, I remember during the Clarence Thomas fiasco that he destroyed Anita Hill during Senate hearings. He even said on an open mic that he caught her in a lie. He did. He can be useful this one last time.
That’s Phil Spector the Murderer, not to be mistaken for Arlen Specter, the only sitting Senator to lose primaries for 2 parties in the same cycle.
