BMI is insane because it would require zero muscle tone and shape and ribs showing to achieve their stated results.

I am a 5’7 male, 32 yrs old, and I weigh considerably north of 200 lbs.
The “charts” say I should weigh around 140, but I’d look like an anorexic at that weight...I weighed 175 in college and looked pretty good IMHO.
Yes, I need to lose weight, but I don’t need to lose the ~100 pounds that the charts (and my Wii Fit) says I should.

Yes, BMI is worthless unless it takes into account bone structure and male-female differences. A male with normal bone structure who is 5'8’ and weighs 130 would never be considered a bit overweight.
Several other appropriate weight charts, most by life insurance companies who bet on the results and have gazillion years of collective experience are clearly better.
