"Now" is just a fiction invented to keep the future from slamming into the past. ;-) Ah...but who's to say that the future hasn't already collapsed upon the past, and the resultant implosion created what we perceive as "Now"?

Remember though ST has had story liens (several) where changes in the past have immediatly rippled (timequake) into the future.

There are billions of years of past and probably billions of years of future. But how long is now? Heh...you see there? Can't even measure it, can you? Like I said, it's all just an apparency.
