Those who b!tch about Jack Bauer are those who like to tell their fish stories, and how they shot a 9-pt buck from 3 miles away. i.e., they don't like being confronted with "Jack is human."

Jack loves his country. Jack regrets. Jack loathes, Jack acts on vengence, Jack questions himself, Jack kills. Jack (gasp) cries. All this "lib vs. conservative" crap is nothing but he-man b.s. The writers, no matter their political persuasion, do a masterful job of showing all the angles. Neither side likes that, of course. We're so used to everyone being pigeon-holed, we've forgotten there can be actually be "two sides to the coin." Necessary evils, as it were.

Jack Bauer is still the man I want between me & the commie crapola, TYVM. Unless anyone has a better alternative...?
