“I take a walk on the beach nearly every day, and I have never seen it as crowded as it is on this Mother’s Day. Every parking lot was full. Sunbathers, swimmers, surfers, snorkelers, and fisherman line the coast as far as the eye can see.”

I’m guessing folks are getting in that beach trip before the oil hits and those beautiful white beaches are turned to brown sludge. It is coming and it is GOING TO SUCK beyond belief!

I have just been so upset by this and I don’t even live in FL. THe gulf coast beaches are the jewel of the south.

I shudder to think of the wildlife impact too.

I think that might be part of it. I think there's also a natural curiosity that people have...to see what an oil spill looks like. The beaches are beautiful here. I'll take note of the amount of people I see after the sludge arrives. I'm sure people will quickly lose their sense of curiosity.
