Tiger Woods says neck has been problem since before Masters
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2010/05/tiger-woods-wont-win-will-he-keep-no-1/1
Final round of The Players: Tiger Woods began his final round of The Players Championship on Sunday at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., 10 shots out of the lead held by Lee Westwood. He opened with two pars, then bogeyed No. 3 to fall to 3 under, 11 shots back.
But, to lose his No. 1 ranking — which he has held for 258 consecutive weeks, and 598 weeks overall — Woods has to finish lower than fifth and Phil Mickelson has to win. Woods clearly will finish lower than fifth, and Mickelson will begin the final round tied for 11th, five shots back.

He’d be a lot better off if he had withdrawn after the 7th hold in his personal life.

He bogeyed the final two holes yesterday, then had two more bogeys through the first six today to fall 12 shots behind the leader Westwood.
I’m pulling for Mickelson to have another great round like yesterday. He’s five shots back, so it will take something special for him to win it.
