Chaz Bono is officially a man and has his new name.

She is no more a man, than she would be a Dolphin if the surgery were done differently. She has no prostrate, she has no testes and a construct that resembles a penis. If you were to check her DNA, she is, always has been and will forever be a female. A very confused female that now has mutilated her genetalia and has had herself sterilized.

What's more, she 'thinks' like a girl, and that is something that cannot be changed. She is not now, nor ever will be a male - she's something in between - and that reality will cause her crippling regret in the years to come.

She could be much happier. Changing one's body or perceived sex (WHY do people insist on using the incorrect term gender?) do nothing for a person's happiness. It's an attempt to run away from something. Were she to face it, eventually she would be much, much happier.
