Now the Bengals are only accountable for 50% of the biggest busts of #1 picks in history, instead of 66.6%.

I blame the Raiders more for this bust, than him. How many head coaches, offensive cordinators, and assistant coaches have changed since he was drafted by them?

Supposedly Russell’s lack of work effort and commitment was well known at LSU. Once again Al Davis fell in love with his physical skills and did not give a damn about his heart or head.
It’s a close call between Russell and Leaf for the title of biggest bust in NFL history.
In defense of Ki-Jana Carter he blew out his knee in his first pre-season game, it might of been his run.

Jury is still out on Carr, IMO, he actually looked decent when he played for the Giants. He had no protection at all in Houston. Who knows what he’ll do with the Niners?

A lot of years ago, someone did a study of Steeler first round picks — up to that point, most of them did not work out at all. One guy I remember — Walter Ambercrombie — broadcasters would talk about his potential. Years later, he was still trying to reach his potential. Tje Seelers were a powerhouse team with no-name players, many from unheard of schools and even a few walk-ons.
