In an earlier article, the prosecutor did not deny that the 2 figures had a sexual relationship. Just hinted that maybe it was consensual. Despite the kid being UNDER the age of consent.
I seem to recall a case from Texas that dates back to the 1970s or so. An adult man had gotten a kid to lure other teenaged transients/runaways/drug addict males over to his house where I seem to recall they were raped and murdered. Eventually he rose up and killed the adult and I think he still serves time in prison for his own role in the abductions/murders.
I don’t remember the names involved but it comes up now and again in the local (Houston) media.
As long as there are heterosexual parents giving birth there will be homosexuals.
IMO people become homosexuals because of parents who don't know what the hell they are doing.
I don’t care.
The kid had the free will to go over to that guy’s house. The kid chose to go over to that guy’s house.
The kid is a hustler, pure and simple.
So you don’t believe in age of consent laws then? Any teen who goes over to an adult’s home for attention, sex, drugs, gifts, and money is wise enough to know what they are getting into?
That's CRAZY talk...
No, I believe in age of consent laws, in fact I believe we should arrest and try Duane Hurley for violation of those laws. Oh wait he’s dead, we can’t do that.
Any non-mentally retarded teenager knows if you go to some guys house for attention, sex, drugs, gifts and money realizes that they will get attention, sex, drugs, gifts and money. Teenagers have grasped the basics of cause-effect. The hustler knew going in that he Hurley wanted to have sex, yet he still went over to his house.
Look at it this way, if a girl drinks too much at a frat party and passes out, somebody will have sex with her. Are those guys guilty of rape? Yep. Is it her fault she did 13 Jello shots in two hours? Yep. Should she shoulder some responsibility for being irresponsible? Yep. Should she get off if she buys a gun and kills the boys who had sex with her?
I agree with all your points.....especially this one. At 17, I was much more mature than most 30yr olds nowadays. We live in a culture that is almost surreal in what kids expect from their parents and society to provide them.
Obviously, this kids craved what he couldn't have....and made some really bad (immature) choices...in order to get them. The story said he had a girlfriend he was wanting to impress and needed the car and cash to do this.
IMHO the man probably pushed some buttons with this kid..... which caused him to snap. Why else would he have given up the cash cow? Did the guy threaten to expose him to his gf/peers if he didn't do what he wanted? The story is vague.
This guy started with Daniel when he was 12/13. The crime clearly indicates Daniel had a huge amount of anger as is normal in abuse cases. He stabbed him over 50 times. Abuse fuels such things. What probably changed things was when Daniel acquired a girlfriend. I would be surprised if Daniel’s parents knew something was not right but tolerated it. I watch his mother and she just didn’t talk like a Mom who had a son who was on trial for murder and who had been molested for years. The Dad appeared more concerned for his son but I can’t help wonder why you would ever let kids run around with an older guy like that.
Well... you can't cure stupid. I'm over 50 and even back in the day where things were much safer...my parents would not allow any lone adult... male or female....relative or not...to take us kids anywhere. (with the exception of my grandmother)
The adults knew not to ask.

This is the "gay" life. There are some good links on the thread. Check 'em out. Homosexuals "groom" adolescents and children, they pick out lonely, vulnerable kids and shower them with attention and goodies, gradually working up to the sexual molestation. There is no scum worse than these people and execution is needed to put a stop to this. Most homosexuals were molested as children and adolescents. How many lives were ruined because of this evil man?
In the 50s, one brother turned 16 and went for a job interview at small appliance repair shop that was run by a guy working alone. Our dad went with him.
Wouldn’t it be great to find out someday. Total communist upbringing, plus the gay seduction by a trusted mentor putting the bad mojo on young Barry.
That’s what I mean. Parents were very involved in their children’s welfare then. Baby-sitters were rare and typically reserved for a special night out; curfews were enforced and you had to tell your parents where and who you’d be out with. (then always expect your parents to double-check with other parents) Trust but verify... was the motto.
Yep, for most it’s a pathological and destructive lifestyle.
And there is no doubt that “grooming” works. In Samoa and other Pacific Islands, a bizarre culture developed. The first two boys in a family were raised to be men, the rest with the girls to be gay. And it works. To me, that pretty much settles the debate on whether it’s genetic or a result of manipulation of the young.
90% of the male homos out there were molested by adult homos. These perverts have been getting away with pederastic behavior since ancient Rome. The sickos want your kids and they are eventually going to have full access.
Why didn’t he tell them the guy was raping him and he fought back, and the guy was killed. Presto magick-o, he’s not guilty.
The Law of Unintended Consequences: the interstate roadway system built under Eisenhower's admin unintentionally unleashed a raft of anti-family forces. People started commuting long distances, hollowing out the close neighborhoods and the idea of companies staying in the community. Kids were able to go farther and get back faster. People started hanging on to relationships that in the past would have meant a day trip, diluting the power of relationships nearby. Enrollment in universities far away, as well as the road trips glorified by Jack Kerouac and the hippies became possible for more young people, diluting home values and ties. Add television and cell phones to the mix, universities declaring 18-year-olds to be old enough for sex in the dorms, as well as leftist lawsuits to allow middle schools to administer abortions to 12-year-olds, and we have now lost all control of our children.
