Music sung by the five blind boys of Alabama and arranged with animated creatures enjoy!
The original is the best . . .

I saw Leonard Cohen in Las Vegas this past November...a month after this video was taken..it was the same tour. The best show I have ever seen, bar none. The man put on a 3 1/2 hour show with a half hour break. It was incredible. The musicians were some of the finest I’ve ever seen.
Lucky you! My six-year-old loves the man and always is asking me to play the Hallelujah song.
Others copied but Cohen wrote the song and, in my humble opinion, he is the best!
I went to this concert because I learned to play guitar when I was 12 years old because of the song, Suzanne. I became a huge Leonard Cohen fan at a young age. I saw him in the early 1990’a in san Diego, but he was into that heavily produced stuff.
I bought a second row seat for this concert and went by myself (It was so expensive, I wasn’t about to spend that much on a second ticket for my husband who has no idea who Cohen is!) So I was there by myself, and I found myself sitting in the middle of The Leonard Cohen International Fan club! It was incredibly surreal. These were like 60 year old groupies from all over the world...doctors and professors from ... like...Norway! There was one young kid from Europe and I asked him why he follows Cohen around the world and he gave me a very understandable, if not very logical, explanation. As we were speaking, he handed me one of those lightsticks and told me that after the intermission, during the second set, at the second song, all the people in fan club around the theater raise their lights and I should join them...So I go back to my seat with my lightstic and look at the program and what do you think the second song in the second set is????? SUZANNE!!!! My song! So for a split second in time, in November of 2010, I was part of the Leonard Cohen Fan Club celebrating the first song I ever learned to play on guitar AND without all the creepy fan club crap!!!! LOL!
By the way, I hope you don’t have to explain to your six year old what the song is about...Because you know what the song is about, right???
I read where when John Cale asked Cohen for a copy of the lyrics he sent him 15 pages worth because he changed it so much. Probably the only thing close would be if someone asked Bob Dylan for the lyrics to Tangled Up In Blue.
Thanks a million.
LOL, she knew the song from the movie ‘Shrek’ . . . I left it at that.
That song was in the movie SHREK? Yikes.
This wasn’t the first time it was posted
Yes that is right but I removed the video and made changes and now this video is posted for the first time.. Thanks for the comment.
What a wonderfully song and well sung. Thanks
Thanks a million.
