ELIZABETHTON There will be no charges placed in the Feb. 6 death of Elizabethton police dog Yoris. Yoris was euthanized after receiving stab wounds and other injuries in an encounter with six boys. Three of the boys suffered dog bites.
First Judicial District Attorney General Tony Clark announced his decision not to place charges on Friday, following his review of an extensive investigation of the incident between the dog and the six boys between the ages of 14-16.
Before the attack, the boys were playing a sport called airsoft in a grassy field near Yoris kennel.
They were carrying plastic toy guns that fired pellets. The guns resembled the weapons used by law enforcement and military personnel. Their game ended when they encountered Yoris.

Poor kids; I'm sure they were put through the wringer by the cops...
I have nothing but respect for a person to stay on a story and later admit they were wrong. Kudos

I salute you for acknowledging the fact that you were wrong before. I would respect you more if you also apologized for your comments to people who disagreed with you. You seemed to be denigrating their ability to reason because they believed what turned out to be the truth in this matter...
I'm really glad these boys have been rightfully acquitted. Justice has been done.
