The rigs were given enough time to do an orderly shutdown and evacuation during the hurricanes approach. Production was stopped for nearly the entire US Gulf.
That isn’t the case during a blowout.

See my post #28...I believe somehow this might be connected. This admin is too far off base with its dirty, shady dealings for anything to be coincidence anymore...

Do a search for the “Piper Alpha”. Wikipedia has a good rundown of what happened. It was a series of human errors that ended with over 150 people being killed in a platform explosion in the North Sea.
