Tearful girl thanks savior from Pit Bull attack

An 11-year-old Toledo girl who was attacked by two Pit Bulls is honoring the good samaritan she says saved her life.

Today was the first time Sarabeth McAdams and her 18-year-old rescuer Sam Granata met since the attack. Sarabeth's mother arranged the meeting because she wanted to personally thank the man she says saved her daughter's life.

Just over a week ago, Sarabeth was riding her bike when she was attacked by two Pit Bulls. Granata was on his way home from work when he saw the attack. Today, a tearful Sarabeth expressed her gratitude to Granata.

With Sarabeth screaming for help, Mr. Granata, a University of Toledo freshman, said he grabbed a shovel from a neighboring house and began hitting the lead "pit bull" as it attacked her.

That got the dog's attention, and it stopped biting her and tried to get at him.

I’m being sarcastic. My way of telling everyone with little dog breeds they are fools. They have defective animals and aren’t smart enough to know it.

Our baby is a Boxador. She is quite the trip half boxer and half Labrador. In reality she is probable around 65 percent lab. She is almost 5 years old and she is still our big baby.

When is enough enough? People won’t be able to go out and walk babies in strollers or kids ride their bikes or pull their wagons. This has got to stop. Thank God for the hero that stopped to help this young girl. Too bad someone didn’t do the same for the homeless man that was left on the ground bleeding to death. Now he is in heaven.
