Would having a personal Mac book get banned from the Livermore national lab for infecting their system be one of those “wonderful things?”
I have received Windows viruses before and they could easily be passed on to other Windows users even though I was never bothered by them.
Many Macintosh users never use any kind of anti-virus software, but since I have been directly dealing with so many other Windows users who do get infected quite a bit (even though it never bothered me) -- I still run checks, myself, to see if some Windows virus would show up in anything that they gave me or sent to me or I downloaded from them. I've been doing it to "help them out" doncha know..., because those viruses never infect a Macintosh machine.
And I do find their Windows viruses all the time and have warned others about it. Many times they found it hard to believe that they had it and sometimes other users think it was a "Macintosh virus" or something ... LOL ...
But, I usually can convince them and they will take care of their machines.
So, I don't mind Macintosh users "being good computer citizens" and helping out those Windows users with their virus problems.
It's just that Macintosh users don't have those problems, themselves, even if they can (and some do) help out those Windows users with their problems. :-)
Ah, but the lab doesn’t use Windows, do they!
