So..., your car is parked in the seedy part of town, you go into your company's warehouse and then go back out and it's gone. You report it stolen, they find the car and the guy who took it (and he sold it already, by the way, but he says he tried to find the owner before he sold it ... LOL ...)...
BUT, the DA wonders why the car was parked in the seedy part of town... and if he doesn't get a reason that is satisfactory to him... he's not going to prosecute the guy for stealing your car ... LOL ... Besides, the DA notes that the guy did try to find the owner first, before he sold it to the chop shop... :-)
