I heard ESPN had some pretty bad coverage on the draft. If Rush Limbaugh would have said that they’d fired him on the spot.

What do you expect when ESPN’s focus of the draft is the commentators and not the players drafted. This is the 1st year I havent watched it, but in the past 5 years, about mid-way through the second round, they stop announcing who is picked and just start talking about how some 1st rounder is gonna win the Superbowl for Team X.

Then, they interview a GM, let Keyshawn tell bad jokes, and talk about Mel Kiper’s hair. Then, they will all agree on what ever the major controversy is in the NFL at the time so they can feel superior. Then, we get a reprieve with the commercial break.

As a matter of fact, I thought ESPN coverage was pretty lame as well.
It was as though the analyst/commentators got bored with the actual teams who were currently picking and which players were being currently picked. They just ignored what was currently going on in the actual draft, and meandered off onto whatever draft-related trivia happened to pop into their empty heads. I got fed up with that nonsense and watched on the NFL channel instead. There they at least tried to give you some info on the current picks, even though you may never hear of most of them again.

But yes, ESPN coverage was awful.
