My sister is fooled by Bam. She’s sweet, loving and naive. We talk politics. But with no anger. She agrees with clearing out congress and starting over, she thinks they’re all crooks and not following the Constitution. But she bought into Bams fairytale. I’ll talk to her again and try to bring her around. She said last time “You’re a Republican, aren’t you.” I said “Heavens NO! I’m a conservative”. She simply said “Oh.” :-)

Your sister sounds reachable. Her heart hasn't become hardened. I think that's what the left does. The whole idea of the left hardens hearts. It's all about taking and not giving. It's all about dictating, there is no debate. It's about name calling and belittling and not stating facts. It's about an arrogance, that they know better and your just an idiot. It's about taking what's not yours and giving it to someone else. It's about if you do something stupid, making someone else pay for your mistakes. It's about enabling people to make bad choices and not pay any consequences for their actions. That kind of mind set and behavior harden the hearts and ruin lives. Our government has turned into an enabler.

On the other hand most conservatives base everything on a belief in God and our rights coming from Him. Having the freedom to make choices, not have them made for us. The freedom to learn from our mistakes and become better because of it, even if it hurts. It's about debate, give and take. It's about personal responsibility. It's about having the freedom to keep what you make and give what you want, not have it taken by force. Most God centered people are very generous.
