I really wouldn't know how to find a good breeder. In fact I'm not sure I would go to a breeder myself.

In my case I find people who love dogs but can't really keep more than they have. Most of my Jack Russells have come from rescue associations except for the newest one. He came from a family that loved him but didn't have a yard for him to play in without a leash. Now he's the great mole hunter of his half acre.

That’s a good looking terrier. I love terrier breeds too. I happen to have a 13 year old toy fox and I just love her to death. I have been thinking of getting another dog now for awhile. I’m not sure if now is a good time, but, I’m looking. I also have a cat and have to keep a cat or two around because I live in the country and we have some problems with getting field mice in the house. Both my cat and dog do a good job of getting them though :)

Does your pup climb trees? The breed is famous for it.

This site will link you to breeders in your particular area so you can actually visit them and get a sense of how they raise their dogs.

We are getting another GSD and have gone to only those who do not breed strictly for the cash and whose pups are raised inside with the family rather then in a kennel. WE will only buy if both parents are available to see and the surrounding in which the dogs are kept are scrupulously clean.
