Um, yes they are. Let's look at what feral means... feral Definition fe·ral[ frəl ] ADJECTIVE 1. gone wild: describes animals or plants that live or grow in the wild after having been domestically reared or cultivated "feral cats" 2. savage: similar to or typical of a wild animal, or living wild And seriously, cats don't always run to find their old homes. In fact, on an average they don't. Otherwise one could never move nor place an animal. It doesn't matter anyway. Feral cats are wild. Take away their food source and they will move. Simple as that.

I have many cats that were born in the wild and are not WILD. Wild has many meanings I suppose, but I can pick mine up. ,P>I am willing to admit that there might be a few cats that will be petrified to try to find their own home....but the idiots that are dumping their cats to this popular location behind a plaza where I feed, think they hang around. I have not seen one of those cats hand around. I've seen them dead on the street....but not one of the possibly 10 cats that were dumped are around. They took off....naturally trying to find their own homes again.

That is stupid and cruel. Most of those cats were abandoned and are looking for food..they are starving and you take away their food. they are traumatized and have it tough as it is, and you take away the one thing they had. Very cruel. Heartless.
