Unfortunately, my friend, I think that's the old Texas you are referring to. Ever since we opened the borders and attracted all these multinational corporations here, and they have brought in all of their employees from around the Globe, Texas has changed and may never be the same again, which can be both good and bad.

I believe Texas is on the verge of becoming the next California, mainly because we have so many Leftists now living in our great state.

Oh....and who called one of the girls hot??!! Seriously??? Maybe for someone from England! ; >

As a upland hunter who travels to texas for a little quail hunting now and then, your statement is all too true, especially in Austn and Houston. Nary a Texas twang amongst the young professionals I met in those two cities. Sad, really. After shooting a rattler that went after my guide’s Brittany, his wife wanted all the guide’s to confer “honorary Texan” status upon me. I told her I didn’t hae the accent down.

When I was in high school, I dated a transfer student (speaking of hot) from Texas; I thought she was as sweet as pie but my fellow suburbanites (Chicago-area) considered her a hick.

Other than Austin, some of Dallas and Montrose in Houston, where do we have a surplus of leftists? I have to disagree with you, we’re doin’ fine. Even here in San Antonio, the libs are (except, of course, in city government) definitely in the minority.
