Hamish McDonald, a Scotsman, sitting down with his Glasgow Morning Herald and seeing an article about how the “Brighton Sex Maniac Strikes Again.” Hamish is shocked and declares that “No Scotsman would do such a thing.” The next day he sits down to read his Glasgow Morning Herald again and this time finds an article about an Aberdeen man whose brutal actions make the Brighton sex maniac seem almost gentlemanly. This fact shows that Hamish was wrong in his opinion but is he going to admit this? Not likely. This time he says, “No true Scotsman would do such a thing.”

A United Kingdom toddler killed Saturday by her uncle’s American bulldog died from a fractured skull and hemorrhaging, an English news website reports.
Theargus.co.uk reports Sussex police are releasing more information on the shocking attack in the family’s kitchen that left 18-month-old Zumer Ahmed injured and dying in front of her grandmother, mother and three-year-old sister.
The dog’s owner, Urfan Ahmed, 32, was initally arrested and held overnight on suspicion of manslaughter, the website reports. He was not home at the time of the attack but was arrested later. He has been released on bail until July 15 pending further investigation, the website reports.
Zumer was with family in the kitchen at lunchtime when the dog entered from a garden and attacked her face, the website reports. Workmen from a nearby home heard barking and screaming and ran to rescue the toddler. Plumber Saqib Nazir, 32, forced the aggressive animal away with a towel and tools after workers freed the child from the animal’s jaws, the website reports.
“It was awful like a scene from a nightmare,” the news website reports Nazir saying.
“My colleague, Artur, dragged the baby away from the dog. I fended it off with a tea towel.
“It was looking me in the eye and kept growling.
“I held the baby in my arms for 15 minutes. She was still breathing.
“It was truly the most awful thing I have seen in my life.”
The news website reports a neighbor on the scene, Adrian Walker, 35, witnessed the girl’s father screaming “the dog had my girl, the dog had my girl,” as medics worked to save his child’s life.
The dog, who is named Game, is in police custody and will be destroyed, the news website reports.
