I have a Mosin. Got one last year - apparently America's favorite gun salesman has encouraged an increase in price as demand was up. I have an M38 that was made in 1942. The first time I cranked off a round, everyone around me at the range turned a cautious eye toward me. It hurt like hell, but it was a blast.
My stock split on me after my initial trip to the range, so I bought an aftermarket Monte Carlo-style stock. It fits so much better and shooting it is easier on the shoulder, too.
The first time I cranked off a round, everyone around me at the range turned a cautious eye toward me.When I fire a round, the whole world goes silent...............mostly because I can't hear a thing over the ringing in my ears. Double hearing protection is a must with a Mosin. I love it though- it's a tool, not a toy.
