My father hated family eating at restaurants with my grandmother (his MIL), and soon refused, as she would always complain, no matter what, to get free desserts, coffees, etc (she’s a Dem).

I even have fear of sending a steak back if it's undercooked. It's not worth the fear of having a "spit sauteed steak."

Yep. I’m a medium guy, so I always order medium well. If if’s a little over, I can live with it, but if it’s under, well then, I’m spot on.
