Although he was not an affectionate type of pet, I did develop a relationship with him over the 25 years. He was able to distinguish my wife and I from other people, he knew his name and would come to us when called. As far as crocodilians go, he had a mild temperament and a quirky-lovable personality. However, we always respected him and treated him as what he was: an exotic and potentially dangerous animal with natural wild instincts.
