most vicious breeds I know of are Chihuahuas and Mini-Pins

BUT, they can’t do much damage and don’t have jaws to do that kind of damage. I would have never had big dogs, with powerful jaws when my kids were small.
I agree to an extent. It would be difficult for them to kill a larger child or adult but unfortunately, they are typically lapdogs or picked up and held frequently. Many of their bites are to the face and can be disfiguring. :( My brother has a pretty nasty scar on his jaw line from a miniature daschund.
