Check. Look at how much heirs pay in death taxes.
4. Confiscation of the Property of All Emigrants and Rebels.
Check. The IRS recently announced it was going after "high value" US expatriates. If you think renouncing your citizenship is a way out of this, they even charge you an "exit tax."
5. Centralization of Credit in the Hands of the State, by Means of a National Bank with State Capital and an Exclusive Monopoly.
Check. Look at how the Federal Reserve operates. Beyond that, the recent bank bailout put many "private" banks under state control or ownership.
6. Centralization of the Means of Communication and Transport in the Hands of the State.

7. Extension of Factories and Instruments of Production Owned by the State, the Bringing Into Cultivation of Waste Lands, and the Improvement of the Soil Generally in Accordance with a Common Plan.
The government did take over GM and Chrysler.

The agricultural sector in this country feeds at the trough of taxpayer subsidies for crops.
