Not the slightest bit of knowledge of research. Nvidia is not the creator of the "in Line" switching technology... Apple is.
Perhaps its a parady of a FUD article?
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
You make the Russian propaganda experts look like amateurs. Well done!
Comparing the MacBook Pro line to the iPad is ludicrous. They are not meant to be competitors. It’s like comparing a gaming notebook to a netbook. Apples and turnips...
Like I said in another thread, I played with an iPad for 30 minutes today and was simply not impressed. It’s a toy. A nice toy, but still a toy.
I’ll keep saving for the Airbook.
What did I say that was untrue? Apple DID create the switching technology... not NVIDIA. The author is an idiot. His readers, almost to a man, stated so in comment after comment. Nothing propagandish there. Simple truth.
All apologies will be gratefully accepted.
Just enough truth to sound plausible and then rain fire down on any dissenters.
A very effective tactic with a well proven history.
Personally I don’t think there is that much of a market for tablet computers. Perhaps if the capability to replace a laptop is there but they are simply too limited for widespread acceptance. IMO
The iPad is pretty amazing, maybe a toy but its a pretty useful one.
It will be interesting to see the comments when google releases their ipad copy tablet.
If your an individual of modest means, your likely to pick one or the other. If your Mac nut and spending OPM, your likely to have both..
“If your an individual of modest means, your likely to pick one or the other.”
I think if you’re of modest means but need mobile computing you’re more likely to go for an economy wintel machine, like a Dell for example.
Not to mention the iPad is designed to be a compliment to a pc or mac not a replacement. To compare is truly lame and ignorant.
Yep, I buy mine with OPM, the money they give me in return for the outstanding products I supply to them via my Mac products.
That is your money, not OPM..
I assume you get no visitors during visiting hours so you seek contact with the outside world by sniping on Mac threads.
“I assume you get no visitors during visiting hours so you seek contact with the outside world by sniping on Mac threads.”
No, just returning the favor for you applebots that cannot resist trolling any microsoft thread.
At the University I’m employed by, there are several Airbook’s, and frankly, I’m underwhelmed about those as well. Underpowered CPU doesn’t help.
Although, to be fair, I’m not a fan of Apple OS.
An iPad is nice if you travel a lot on business, or ride a train to commute to work, but outside of that, I agree, it seems more like a toy. Why not just go ahead and spend the money on the MacBook?
Oh there is a market alright. But the iPad doesn’t fill it. Yet.
There is a market for a GO ANYWHERE book reader, computer, etc., but that means just exactly what it says. GO ANYWHERE. Fifty fathoms down, inside saunas, on beaches, used as a bat for softball practice...
When you can attach a bobbin antenna and use this sucker to send an email or a photo from a scuba camera offshore, I will be interested.
Enough computing power to do basic tasks, surf the web, send receive emails — and still be rough and durable enough to stick into a flight-bag, scuba-bag, BEACH-bag, etc...
Yeah...
I could get behind that thing THEN.
But the iPad has none of that. It’s still a jewel that has to be protected and cherished. It breaks. It’s pretty screen will get scratched.
If they could make it durable enough to serve as a drink tray during a fraternity party and still do all the other stuff, it might be acceptable.
Till then, it’s just a toy.
