As you are having a difficult time with the meaning of the word.. I will provide the definition. No where in any definition of Gaffe does the issue of slanderous misquotes exist.

Quotation marks were around the word in question. Secondly quotation marks from the phrase in question were followed by “via Saturday Night Live”, which would indicate the quote came from a KNOWN FICTIONAL SOURCE.
Unfortunately for you and others, the application of your reading skills stopped at the phrase in question which immediately garnered a response.
Otherwise, if it were understood the way you zealots have portrayed it/spun it after the fact; you would have at least acknowledged the perceived error and added some additional information to answer the REQUEST that was apparent in the original posting. Intent would have also been understood initially. This did not happen,why? Because the entire post was NOT READ by those upset by it, including you.
