Palin's Gaffes VS. Obama's Gaffes.
Posted on 04/15/2010 8:06:24 PM PDT by CommieCutter
Can someone tell me how many "gaffes" Palin has had besides the "I can see Russia from my house" via Saturday Night live, and the question about John McCain's "specific examples of pushing for me regulation"?
Compared to Obama, I don't see how this woman has had as many gaffes as Obama: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ap2Cg_FDRy4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5R6kVry4_c

He was keeping up with me. It was you at the nitwit crew that couldn’t keep up.

“Your attempt to garner gaffes so we could laugh about Obama got you maybe two honest replies.”
This wasn’t posted so I could “laugh” (Caution: Quotation marks) at Obama.
It was so I could collect anymore so-called (so-called as indicated by these-—> “ “) flubs by Palin. As far as I was concerned there weren’t really any at all—they were exaggerated IMO.

Not as blatantly obvious as others, but my favorite is still his statement that the UN Security Council could deal with Russia’s attack on Georgia.

I know.
I’m really disappointed to say the least.

Cults of Personality can spring up, even if their object would not encourage them. May Sarah be protected from her “friends” as well as her enemies.

Lakeshark, why can't you just do a Rosann Rosannadanna and say, "Nevermind!" I read CC's starting post once, instantly though what you thought ("Hey, Palin never really said that," etc.),
then caught the "via Saturday Night Live" addendum, and figured that CC probably meant "perceived public gaffes" real or fiction that Liberals attribute to Palin. I went on to read an entertaining thread EXCEPT for the petty idiots like you and
rae4palin who bleat over nothing. Get a grip, you two. You should have read more carefully. If you don't have the grace to admit a mistake, at least have the courtesy of shutting up about it.
CommieCutter, ... I got it. *sheesh*

Here's the deal. Some people don't actually
read the whole thing, whether it's a quick email or an article. They skim. Much strife and miscommunication results. Professionally, I get very annoyed with the handful of people who don't actually READ their emails, but skim them and catch about 25 percent of it, and respond with 25 percent out of context rather than 100 percent of what you sought. They waste lots of time, effort, and money, strain relations, and others have to pick up after them.
Here on Free Republic, they just waste time and remind us that some folks are more bull-in-a-china-shop sloppy than others.

cops acted stupidly...- B. Obama I almost forgot about that one.
Like somebody said upthread, the "57 states" gaffe should have gotten him tossed off the scene.
I wonder if there's a tape or audio montage of his gaffes? Cops acted stupidly, 57 states, corpsmen, mispronouncing the baseball field's name ... it's hard to figure which one is worse, Obama, or the fraudulent "journalists" who cover for him?

It lowers our discourse to that of Huffington Post or Democrats Underground. And that kind of creeping idiocy on this site is not a joke to me. Amen, Brother Freeper. My solution is to skip the posts frittering on that idiocy (though I have to admit some catch my eye kind of the way you can't help looking at a car wreck) and relish the legit responses that are of interest. Really, Obama's gaffes -- I have two more to add: deep bowing to the Saudi and the Japanese -- are legion and world-class. Even Joe Biden pales in comparision! And that's saying something.

And two more to add: the deep bows to the Saudi King and the Japanese Emporer (I think he was emporer) and his wife. According to AmericanInTokyo, that latter one was a real diplomatic gaffe and embarassment.

I got sidetracked over at youtube. Just search for Obama gaffes. The “Top Ten” list has some that aren’t really gaffes (like bumping his head on Marine One, who cares), to the one where, describing his bowling gutter ball “It looked like the Special Olympics”.
And too many to count with his teleprompter.

Thank you, Anitius.
I had no problem with it. Maybe it wasn’t written up the best, but I still “got it” - right away. Because I read the whole thing rather than lathering up and going blind at “I can see Russia from my house”.
Geesh.
Now, did OP have to say “WTF”? No, which is low class no matter what. But I completely understand his major frustration at being painted by numerous posters as something he’s not.

Well there Finny, here's hoping you had a nice sleep.
I opened the thread and noticed a few people were confused about the posters intent, so at post 30 I asked a simple question, thinking it might right the thread. If you didn't notice, there was not one reason for him/her to do anything other than clarify, I hadn't even said there was anything wrong, hadn't made a challenge.
Awaiting the response, I noticed the poster had a lot of challenges, and with each one, simply a rude, self aggrandizing post back. His first post to me was in the same tone, attacking, nasty, and derisive. You can follow it if you like.
The poster of the thread may have had a good idea, but simply sabatoged it all by himself by presuming moral and intellectual superiority, then being rude and dismissive to all who joined in.
Twas his/her own self inficted problem.

Not much of a sense of humor either.......
I especially loved being called an English illiterate in posts that had huge grammatical errors in them
It made me smile to watch the outrage, I just didn't have the stomach to take it seriously.
