HELP! Need Witty Quips to Shoot Down Facebook Dems
04/15/2010 | Me

Posted on 04/15/2010 7:34:53 PM PDT by Woodstock

HELP!! I need help with some creative 1 - 3 liners to quip back to ultra dem friends on Facebook. Nothing too offensive. My 13 year old son attended the DC Tea Party today (with school permission from one of Maryland's ONLY republican counties - an oasis in this state for sure)and I am getting flamed by liberal friends; they are REALLY tree-hugging liberals!. Usually, I do not take on these folks because they ARE friends. However, some are just so "holier-than-thou" and I would love some sensible quips to toss back to them and their tax-loving comments. I am tired and just feeling too witty. ~~ Civil Air Patrol Mom in Maryland

My patience has worn thin with these types.
I just smile and make a reference to something like...."ESAD...and you have a real nice day ya' hear?"

But thats just me...;)

Those liberals can’t be “holier than thou” because they think killing a not yet born human in the womb is a “choice”.

Don’t bother arguing with people who condone the murder of the most innocent of human life. Libs ain’t worth the effort. 99% will never change their selfish way of living.

I won’t remove my liberal friends (yet) because I believe silence to their posts or to remove them from my view is hiding from what many people are saying. I do not agree with them. Better to know and educate myself. Hopefully, they keep me as a friend for the same reason and we can painfully enjoy an adult dialog...LOL..or NOT.

Always offer up some PJ O'Rourke in situations like this.

When buying and selling are controlled by legislation, the first things to be bought and sold are legislators.

At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child - miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosphy of sniveling brats

"To grasp the true meaning of socialism, imagine a world where everything is designed by the post office

The second item in the liberal creed, after self-righteousness, is unaccountability. Liberals have invented whole college majors--psychology, sociology, women's studies--to prove that nothing is anybody's fault. No one is fond of taking responsibility for his actions, but consider how much you'd have to hate free will to come up with a political platform that advocates killing unborn babies but not convicted murderers. A callous pragmatist might favor abortion and capital punishment. A devout Christian would sanction neither. But it takes years of therapy to arrive at the liberal view

If government were a product, selling it would be illegal.

The good news is that, according to the Obama administration, the rich will pay for everything. The bad news is that, according to the Obama administration, you're rich.

There's something about Marxism that brings out warts; the only kind of growth this economic system encourages.

You can criticize 0bama (and most Democrats) from a Left Wing viewpoint also, regardless of your personal perspective, regarding his failures to keep most of his campaign promises. The point here is to make them doubt that their approach could possibly work under the most ‘favorable’ of circumstances, so trashing their opinions and sacred cows from either a left wing or right wing perspective is perfectly appropriate. If they say ‘hey-but aren’t you a conservative?’ just tell them that you’re playing ‘devils advocate’ here and showing that their stuff is garbage whatever a thinking person’s perspective is.

OMG. That depressed me so much, I couldn’t finish the quiz.

Not complaining, but merely stating a fact. It’s clear that our home grown commies (Hillary and Obama) had no qualms about telling us what they really were. It’s interesting to note that if you listen, people will tell you exactly who they really are.

Tell your Lefty comrades that a politician can’t give somebody anything that they haven’t stolen from somebody else.

Here’s an old thread, “Love Letters from Leftists,” that might explain who your “friends” really are:

Dang...I just got another great one (this is an oldie but a goodie).

Since this is your son’s project, you can frame it to fit the situation. But the strawman is...

My son’s teacher wants to help ensure no kids fail the class, so he’s taking all the grades and averaging them. The first week my son turned in an A, but got a B- since that was the class average. The next week my son turned in a B and get a C since C was the class average. The 3rd week my son turned in a C- and got an F since that was the class average. Finally the teacher had to drop that system because the class average was 0 the final week. Then ask, why didn’t that system work since it works so well with other government programs.

It’s always fun to quote people’s own words back to them. My favorite is Hillary’s screeching, “I’m tired of hearing that if you disagree with this administration that you are not patriotic. Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”

They sound like bleating sheep to me. I would be wary of calling them friends. No one except the extreme left is creating the straw man that the Tea Party is calling for the elimination of all taxes and government. They have been feeding on the leftist hatred and seem all to happy to be kept by the government while sacrificing more of their liberty daily.

Ask them why the health care bill was so massive and incomprehensible that no one really understands everything that is in it including the idiots that voted for it. Here is a clue for them, it's about control.

After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.

Obama’s Billions For Jihad

Obama’s 2009 Supplemental Appropriations for Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Pandemic Flu was revised and “passed by the full committee.” Not sure what the next step is, but based on the summary, it gives billions
http://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2009/05/13/obamas-supplemental-bill-passes-gives-billions-to-enemies/
of U.S. taxpayer dollars to countries and entities that support Sharia law and/or harbor, hide and support those who want to destroy the U.S. and our allies.

Read the summary from David Obey’s office
http://appropriations.house.gov/pdf/PressSummary05-07-09.pdf that was quietly released last week with nary a word from any media.

• $3.6 billion, matching the request, to expand and improve capabilities of the Afghan security forces

• $400 million, as requested, to build the counterinsurgency capabilities of the Pakistani security forces

• Afghanistan: $1.52 billion, $86 million above the request

• West Bank and Gaza: $665 million in bilateral economic, humanitarian, and security assistance for the West Bank and Gaza

• Jordan: $250 million, $250 million above the request, including $100 million for economic and $150 million for security assistance

• Egypt: $360 million, $310 million above the request, including $50 million for economic assistance, $50 million for border security, and $260 million for security assistance

• Pakistan: $1.9 billion, $591 million above the request

• Iraq: $968 million, $336 million above the request

• Oversight: $20 million, $13 million above the request, to expand oversight capacity of the State Department, USAID, and the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan to review programs in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq

• Lebanon: $74 million

• International Food Assistance: $500 million, $200 million above the request, for PL 480 international food assistance to alleviate suffering during the global economic crisis

• Refugee Assistance: $343 million, $50 million above the request, …including humanitarian assistance for Gaza. Funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency programs in the West Bank and Gaza is limited to $119 million (Note: Gaza = Hamas)

• Disaster Assistance: $200 million to avert famines and provide life-saving assistance during natural disasters and for internally displaced people around the world, including Somalia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, the Middle East and South Asia

• Peacekeeping: $837 million for United Nations peacekeeping operations, including an expanded mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a new mission in Chad and the Central African Republic

• Department of Justice: $17 million, matching the request, for counter-terrorism activities and to provide training and assistance for the Iraqi criminal justice system
The mainstream media remains silent on this but the International News has now picked up the story — and then there is Obama’s $108 billion IMF bailout scheme in addition to the Supplemental.

Obama has asked Congress to let aid to Palestinians continue if Hamas backers are included in a new unity government, observers say.

The proposed change in U.S. law would be necessary because Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, is designated as a terrorist organization and therefore cannot receive U.S. aid. But power-sharing negotiations between Hamas and the rival Fatah faction, which controls the West Bank, may result in a unity Palestinian government that includes ministers backed by Hamas, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The White House sought the change as part of a bill authorizing $840 million for the Palestinian Authority as well as for rebuilding Gaza after this year’s 22-day Israeli military assault.
