There are historical examples of the youth of a conquering people attacking the vanquished. The attacks are generally a result of the feelings of joy occasioned by being the victors. In another sense the attackers are laying down the law i.e. 'get out of the way when we are on the streets,' 'you are our objects to be used as we the bright and glorious one's determine.'
