Weasels are also nasty, I was told they like the baby chicks and just kill for the blood licking they can do...not sure but that is what I was told...No wolfs or bobcats in my neck of the woods...for which I was thankful on the farm..

The one that got into the coop killed and ate one, licked it clean to the bone only the head was gone but it was just bone and still intact..also had an egg inside the skeleton. It then went on to kill the rest and we couldn't find any bodies...The old coop had a false ceiling with a large hole leading up to an "attic". When we looked up there, we found all the dead ones in a pile...I guess he was going to come back for another meal...we found where he got in and fixed it. The ones still alive were in the coop chewed up..Coon will kill just for the pleasure...found a wild rabbit head once behind the garage and the body over by the barn...they kill by decapitating...and carry rabies. totally worthy to be shot or drowned if a pond is available...hate them with a passion...

Weasels start out just looking for food....then the they go berserk or something.

They slit the throats of all my gramma’s beloved Aracunas one night.

Didn’t eat them.

Just murdered them.

Blood frenzy or “kicks”, I dunno.

I have no use for coons since the idiot on the hill fed 2 dozen feral cats a whole bag of cat food every night and drew coons, foxes, skunks and bears around the area.

He gave us a nice rabies epidemic.

2 were shot in my yard and a 3rd was just about to slide under the front gate when dad nailed him.

Several more were killed within a quarter mile radius....in just a matter of a month or two.

The drunk kept blaming *us* for his cats going missing but I frequently saw them lying dead when riding my Polaris up in the woods, their mouths covered in froth.

For 2 years, I had to reconnoiter my back yard after dark just to make sure nothing rabid was out there when the dogs had to go pee.

Walking around a dark woods in my jammies carrying a .44 and a flash light is not my idea of a fun time.

Finally, the SPCA got sick of it and hauled “his” cats [which he fed and sheltered but took no vaccination responsibility for] away.

They were all euthanized because nobody wanted to risk adopting an asymptomatic rabid kitten to some little kid.

Prior to the rabies epidemic, I’d frequently stop to help car-struck ones.

No more.
